💬 My Review

I loved the story

Give me a Beauty and the Beast retelling and I’m in. This book scratched that exact itch without ever feeling too trope-heavy or predictable.

Nessa’s journey

Nessa is such a joy to follow, especially as she starts to come out of her shell and become her own person, not just the sweet, sheltered ballerina everyone sees. Watching her grow was just as satisfying as watching Miko fall for her, piece by piece.

The dynamic

The contrast between her warmth and his cold exterior gave the perfect kind of tension, and the moments where his icy walls cracked? Chef’s. Kiss.

Pacing

It did have a few slower patches, but the emotional build-up and payoff made it worth the wait. The slow, melting shift from enemies to something gentler was honestly delicious.
