LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
The story had me completely hooked once it found its rhythm. There’s a richness to the world-building and a real bite to the tension between Cate and Lach that just builds and builds.
The Slow Burn
The slow burn attraction?
Ugh, perfection.
Geneva Lee knows exactly how to tease, pace, and stretch that tension until you’re basically screaming at them to kiss already.
Minor Disappointment
I was a tad disappointed we only got one single chapter from Lach’s POV at the very end. He’s such an intense, layered character, and his inner voice? I needed more.
That Ending Though
But that final twist??
That cliffhanger??
Brutal in the best possible way. Zero regrets, but also—why would she hurt us like this.
Final Verdict on the Story
Safe to say I will be immediately starting the next book. This is the kind of addictive fae romance that sinks its claws in and won’t let go.
