Midweek check-in time — the point where the week has definitely happened, the to-do list is half crossed off, and my brain is firmly living somewhere between books, crafts, and festive chaos.
So let’s do a little pause, catch up on what I’ve been reading, how I’m feeling, and what’s been filling my days (and shelves).

Format: Audiobook
Genre & Vibe: Dark romance | Obsessive energy, Morally grey, “Just one more chapter” chaos
Thoughts So Far: Well… Lights Out is now officially finished! 🙌
And now I’m standing here like:
what now?
what do I do with my life?
Do I dive into a fantasy escape?
Do I lighten the mood with a rom-com?
Or do I embrace the chaos and jump straight into another dark romance?
The book limbo is REAL.

Still riding the Christmas crafting train — no signs of stopping 🚂✨
BUT I’ve also been assigned a fun little crafty job at work:
✨ making paper chains out of vintage music sheets for our nursery’s charity Christmas tree!
This year’s theme? Music! 🎶
And I even found a book of Beethoven sheet music in a charity shop for only £2.50.

Bargain of the year. 💛

- Find a brand new audiobook or book to dive into
- MAYBE (just maybe)… try tandem reading + listening like the cool bookish girlies do 👀📖🎧

Ohhh… the happy post HIT HARD this week.
I finally got:
🌹 3 LEGO Botanical sets
📚 Two stunning book-shaped vases from LyGBStore on Etsy
When I saw the Zade Meadows / Haunting Adeline book vase?
Instant love.
It was destined for the LEGO roses.
Then the second vase ended up being the perfect display for both the pretty pink bouquet and wildflower bouquet sets — which I honestly didn’t think would fit… but WOW did they prove me wrong.
And the finishing touch?
✨ Twinkling fairy lights (suggested by youngest) = full-blown perfection.

This week has been a mix of finished-book chaos, festive crafting, and tiny moments of joy that make everything feel a bit lighter. I may be in book limbo… but at least I’m surrounded by flowers, fairy lights, and tea.
