Total player (I’d call him something stronger but I’m trying to stay ladylike)

I’m not very far in yet, but based on the first two chapters?

Also — I used my trusty random wheel picker to choose this one because deciding on a book myself? Impossible. I might do a whole post on the wheel soon because honestly… it saves my life.

OW is it December already?!
Seriously. Who fast-forwarded the year?
There’s so much still to do, plan, wrap, bake, buy, hide, move (elves), and then remember what I forgot.
My poor brain is juggling festive chaos and dropping baubles everywhere. 🎄🤣
✅ This Week’s Goals
- Carry on with Rough — very invested in this cowboy-wolf nonsense 🐺🤠
- Stress dramatically over the last present that still hasn’t arrived yet (Why do deliveries play games with me every December??)
🏠 What’s Happening in Real Life
It’s been an absolute whirlwind since Friday!
Friday:
Rare day off work → immediately shopping for kids’ presents
Saturday:
More shopping (with adult treats for me & OH — see the Weekend Shopping post for the tea 👀✨)
Sunday:
Early birthday get-together for my sister at Mum’s, then into town for the Fire & Ice show
- The ice sculptures? Gorgeous ❄️
- Popped into the church to see the charity trees
- Found work’s tree (those paper chains!!!) and eldest’s school tree too
- Proud mum moment 💛
Monday:
Day 1 of the Elf on the Shelf chaos begins…
Which means I now have to REMEMBER to move them every night.

🧠 What’s Stuck In My Head
Christmas lists.
All of them.
Presents to buy.
Presents to wrap.
Baking ingredients for my dessert charcuterie board
(this is my villain origin story and I fully accept it).
Just constant lists jingling around my skull like festive maracas. 🎶🎄
🍫 This Week’s Snack & Sip
Snack:
Still blissfully munching ASDA’s Merry Munch Mix — now transferred into a festive tub for the official snack table. It feels right.
Drink:
Tea, obviously ☕
But with a cheeky hot chocolate mixed in here and there… because December..

This week is a mix of cowboy-wolf chaos, festive overwhelm, and trying to keep all the plates (and elves) spinning — but honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Books are hitting, snacks are elite, and December has officially arrived with zero chill.
