🧝♀️ What They Did
The elves went a little googly-eyed today! Elvis and Toffee decided to keep a close watch by sticking eyes on anything that would hold still — the bin, front door, my printer, even family photos. Everywhere you looked, a new funny face was waiting to greet you! Definitely one of those setups that had everyone giggling over breakfast.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
I grabbed a box of googly eyes and these giant eyes (you can find them in pretty much any arts and crafts section but lazy me got from Amazon!) and used small bits of Blu Tack to stick them onto random things around the kitchen and living room. Blu Tack works best — easy to remove and way less mess than double-sided tape or glue. I’ll admit I was quietly laughing to myself while doing it, and my OH just gave me that look like, “She’s lost it again.” Totally worth it. 😂
💡 Recreate It at Home
This one’s super easy and so funny to wake up to!
You’ll need:
- A pack of googly eyes (same size or mixed — whatever you fancy! I got these giant ones and this box of variety sizes eyes – both from Amazon)
- Some Blu Tack or reusable adhesive (find it in any stationery section)
Then… just let loose around the house! Think kitchen cupboards, family photos, the fridge door — anywhere you can make something look like it’s watching the kids back.
🪄 Elf Hack of the Day
💫 Keep a small box or drawer just for “Elf Props.” Each year, reuse the same bits like tape, Blu Tack, and mini props so setup nights are quick and stress-free!
