🧝♀️ What They Did
This morning the elves treated the boys to a sweet surprise — Donuts for breakfast! Elvis and Toffee sat proudly beside the box like two little breakfast kings, holding their mini donut boxes as if they’d done the grocery run themselves.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
Okay, this one comes with a wholesome twist because my O.H. — who never gets involved with anything elf-related — actually surprised me on his way home from his night shift. He walked through the door holding a box of doughnuts ready for the elves’ setup (which was meant to be for today!).
Except… instead of the colourful, Christmas-themed variety box I’d been picturing in my head, he brought home the plain original glazed ones.
Bless him, he tried 😭❤️
So after my work shift, I nipped out and picked up the proper variety box with the fun Christmas doughnuts. But honestly? Bonus win — me and O.H. now get to share the original glazed ones to ourselves, so everyone wins here 🍩😌
For the elves’ mini version, I’d already found a cute printable donut set on Etsy. I made the little boxes ahead of time and added some colourful fruit hoops into their bag to act as tiny “elf doughnuts.” It looked adorable and the kids immediately clocked the details!

💡 Recreate It at Home
You can make this delicious elf breakfast scene fit any budget:
- Use any donuts you like (to fit your budget).
- Print the Elf Kristmas Kreme set from EasyElfIdeas on Etsy for the mini props.
- For “elf donuts,” use colourful cereal hoops or mini cookies.
- Add a napkin, small plate, or even a paper coffee cup for extra café vibes!
🪄 Elf Hack of the Day
💡 Always save cute food-themed printables — mini cereal boxes, tiny takeaway bags, donut boxes — they instantly make any food-based setup way more adorable.
