🧝♀️ What They Did
Today, Elvis and Toffee turned into full-on detectives! 🕵️♂️ They placed clues all around the home, each one leading to the next — from the Christmas tree to the baking cupboard and beyond. The elves held the very first clue, sending the boys on a scavenger hunt mission that ended with a treasure chest full of chocolate coins! Talk about a sweet reward for some festive brainpower! 🍫💰
🎬 Behind the Scenes
We’ve done a few of these scavenger hunts over the years, and they never get old. The kids absolutely love racing around the house solving each clue, and every time I make it a little bit longer so the fun lasts that bit more! This year’s grand prize was a mini treasure chest stuffed with shiny chocolate coins — because who doesn’t love edible treasure?!

💡 Recreate It at Home
You can make your own elf scavenger hunt in minutes!
- Pick up a couple of packs of chocolate coins (you’ll find them in the Christmas food section of most shops).
- Scatter 5–8 clue cards (or be extra like me and do 24!) around your home — make each answer lead to the next hiding spot.
- I designed my own scavenger cards, and you can download and print them here to use for your own elf adventure!
- Finish with a small box, basket, or chest filled with the “treasure.” I used this printable treasure chest
🪄 Elf Hack of the Day
💫 Keep a little folder or notes app of your past elf setups — that way you never repeat the same idea too soon (and you’ll thank yourself next December when your brain’s running on candy canes and caffeine!).
