🧝♀️ What They Did
The elves struck again — this time, raiding the chocolate stash! One cheeky elf was found tipped head-first into the tub, legs in the air, while the other sat proudly beside the evidence, chocolate smudged across its face and wrappers everywhere. Looks like self-control isn’t part of their skill set!
🎬 Behind the Scenes
This setup always gets the kids so excited because every Christmas I “save” those tubs of mixed chocolates — Heroes, Celebrations, Quality Street, take your pick — ready for Christmas week. (If I’m being honest, I buy them every year purely for this elf moment 😂).
The kids know we’re not supposed to open them until the Christmas holidays, so when the elves “sneak” into them early, I make a big dramatic fuss and say, “Well, I guess we’ll just have to eat them now!”
And of course… we do!
I’ve actually been waiting for this day for weeks now!!! The tub of chocolates has been tempting me nightly — like a tiny foil-wrapped demon whispering my name — but I’ve resisted (proud of me!).
But now I can finally open them…
For the elves, obviously. 😇🍫🧝
💡 Recreate It at Home
All you need for this easy setup is:
- A box or tub of chocolates (or even a biscuit tin if you prefer!)
- A few empty wrappers to scatter around
- Optional: a small chocolate smear on one elf’s face for realism 😉
Place one elf sitting inside the tub and another nearby like they’ve just been caught mid-snack.
🪄 Elf Hack of the Day
💫 Keep a few emergency mini props in your wrapping-paper stash — scraps of ribbon, bows, tags, or tinsel. They make last-minute setups look festive without needing to dig through Christmas boxes at midnight!
