🐘🐧 Paws, Trunks & Cheeky Faces: Why Picking One Favourite Is Impossible

Okay… rude question because how am I meant to pick one favourite animal? 😅
My heart simply does not work like that.

First up — elephants.
There’s something so quietly powerful about them. Graceful, gentle, emotional giants who somehow manage to be both majestic and soft-hearted. I could watch them for hours and feel instantly calmer.

Then we have penguins — absolute cheeky chappies.
The waddling. The drama. The mischievous little faces. They look like they’re constantly plotting something and I’m obsessed.

Apes (chimps, gorillas, orangutans)… oh my heart 🖤
I could genuinely sit and watch these guys all day, every day. The intelligence, the expressions, the way they interact — it’s fascinating and oddly comforting. They feel so familiar, in a “we’re not that different” kind of way.

And finally… cats.
I love dogs too — I really do — but me and cats? We just vibe. Independent, moody, affectionate on their own terms… honestly, same. I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully) to convince O.H that a cat would complete our household, but he’s not budging.

At this point, my only remaining option might be to accidentally-on-purpose sneak a kitten home and see what happens. 👀🐾
