✨ The Story of This Blog
What started as a place to share my love of books and creative hobbies slowly grew into something bigger — a home for all the bits of my life I love documenting. Reading spirals, themed dinners, baking days, family chaos, monthly reflections… it all ended up here.
The Reading Nook is about enjoying things deeply — rereading favourites, romanticising the small moments, and not pretending life is perfectly aesthetic all the time. It’s real, it’s cosy, and it’s very much me.
📚 Bookish Me
Books are my forever comfort. I read across formats — physical, ebook, and audiobook — and I fully believe they all count.
You’ll mostly find me buried in romance, romantasy, fantasy, and anything with:
- morally grey men
- found families
- emotional damage
- a little (or a lot) of spice
- bonus points for wolves 🐺
Mood matters more than genre, and my TBR has absolutely zero self-control.Basically? If there’s a book involved, I’m probably talking about it.
🎨 Creative Me
I’m a creative at heart — whether that’s stitching, designing, planning themed content, or dreaming up new blog ideas.
Some projects get finished quickly. Others… live in progress for a while. And that’s okay. Creativity here is about enjoyment, not perfection — slow, cosy, and always done for the love of it.

Baking is my calm.
When my brain feels loud, the oven goes on and everything else quiets down. Cakes, traybakes, seasonal bakes, themed treats — if it can be baked, I’ve probably tried it (or plan to).

At the heart of it all, this blog is about life.
The everyday stuff. The busy seasons. Family moments, routines, traditions, and the in-between days that don’t fit neatly into categories. I write about what’s happening, how it feels, and what I’m learning along the way — without pretending I’ve got it all figured out.
I’m living real life as a mum of two boys — though one of them is officially a teenager now (so “boy” might be pushing it!). We live in England, and I work part-time as a kitchen assistant at a daycare nursery — a job that keeps me on my feet, keeps me laughing, and definitely keeps me fuelled on tea.
Basically, I’m living a soft, slightly chaotic, cosy-mum-life — equal parts family, hobbies, and everyday magic.

⭐ I drink more tea than recommended by any doctor (though I cheat with Pepsi Max on hot days)
⭐ I’m a vibes reader — mood matters more than genre
⭐ My favourite books usually include morally grey men, found families, smut, and wolves 🐺
⭐ I collect physical books like trophies — the prettier the cover, the harder I fall
⭐ Audiobooks count (and I will die on this hill)
⭐ I love themed everything: dinners, days, seasons, vibes
⭐ Baking absolutely calms my brain
⭐ I’m more of a savoury snacker (crisps > cookies)
⭐ I always say I’ll only read “one more chapter”… then it’s suddenly midnight
